The Dutch, the popular breakfast-through-dinner eatery with a focus on reinventing the Pennsylvania Dutch classics, is kickstarting the new year with it’s beloved brunch service on Monday, January 1from 8am – 3pm, and will be offering an exclusive New Year’s Special with Pork & Sauerkraut ($21) topped with a sunny-side up egg and house potatoes. In addition, the restaurant will also be serving up its adored brunch staples, including (but not limited to) Chorizo Hash, Ring Bologna Eggs Benedict, Savory Dutch Baby, Fried Chicken BLT, and Ana Banana Pancakes.

Imbibers can welcome 2024 with celebratory sippers from The Dutch’s brunch cocktail menu. Highlights from the morning-inspired libations include a housemade Bloody Mary in honor of National Bloody Mary Day –which conveniently happens to be January 1 as well – as well as an Elderflower Spritz, Gin Grapefruit Collins, Passionfruit Bellini, and more.

The Dutch’s brunch service operates on first come, first served with no reservations available.

Red Owl Tavern, the contemporary kitchen and bar located across from Independence Hall in Old City, will be ringing in the new year with a New Year’s Day Brunch on Monday, January 1 from8am – 2pm. Foodies can treat themselves after a long night out (or a chill night in!) with mouthwatering brunch staples, such as Apple Cider Belgian Waffles with caramelized honey crisp apples, brown butter whipped cream, and streusel, Avocado Toast with smashed avocado, poached eggs, pickled peppers, and cilantro, Fried Chicken Sandwich topped with spicy garlic and honey glaze, slaw, and pickles, and Chicken & Waffles made with buttermilk fried chicken, Belgian waffle, and spicy chili butter. The restaurant will also be celebrating with its Mimosa Brunch, a bottle of sparkling wine served with choice of orange or cranberry juice, for $22.

Square 1682, the modern American restaurant and award-winning bar located on 17th and Sansom Streets, is commemorating the arrival of 2024 with a special New Year’s Day Brunch on Monday, January 1 from 8am – 2pm, ideal for those who want to keep the celebrations and festive cheer going. The menu boasts an array of featured brunch dishes, as well as festive seasonal cocktails (and zero proof delights) courtesy of Lead Bartender Alex Clark, including:

Urban Farmer, the modern American steakhouse located in the Logan Hotel known for its locally-sourced ingredients and in-house butcher shop and mushroom program, is offering New Year’s Day Brunch from 7 am to 2 pm on January 1 to ring in 2024. Guests can indulge in several brunch offerings with highlights including a Waffle  ($16) with bourbon brown sugar butter and candied pecans, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy ($17) with buttermilk biscuits, sunny side up eggs and house-made pork sausage, and Shrimp and Grits ($26) with castle valley red grits, andouille sausage, lobster-basil cream, cherry tomato and a poached egg. 

Brunch-goers can pair dishes with one of Urban Farmer’s Mimosa Kits offering a glass of sparkling + juice for $14, one bottle of sparkling + 3 juices for $68, or two bottles of sparkling + 3 juices for $126 or enjoy cocktails including a Bloody Mary with Tito’s Vodka and housemade Bloody Mary mix, a UF Espresso Martini with vodka, amaro averna, kahlua and espresso or Farmer #4 with Tito’s Vodka, St. Germain, lime and a grapefruit cube.
