Looking for inspo on how to improve everyone’s favorite vice at home? The Pathfinder Hemp and Root is the perfect addition to coffee-centric beverages — see below for a bevy of stellar recipes from experts at Caffè Vita, Anchored Ship Coffee Bar, as well as Kraig Rovensky, co-owner of Seattle bar Life on Mars, and viking-maned, punk-turned-lumberjack Global Brand Ambassador for The Pathfinder Hemp and Root.

The Pathfinder Hemp and Root performs well in hot or iced coffee beverages, just as well as in mocktails and cocktails, without sacrificing any of the flavor. The zero-proof elixir is so versatile that it’s being used in a variety of ways at cafés and bars across the country, adding botanical and herbaceous flavors to the trendy espresso tonic, a lavender coffee granita, a classic cold brew, and more.

THE PATHFINDER ESPRESSO COLA

Recipe developed by Caffè Vita, the intimate and premium café with locations in New York City, Seattle, Arizona, and Portland OR

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. The Pathfinder Hemp and Root
  • 1 oz. Black Tea Concentrate
  • 2 oz. Espresso
  • 4 oz. Seltzer Water
  • .25 tsp. Citric Acid
  • 16 oz. Cup of Ice

Garnish: Lime wheel
Instructions: Served in drinking glass and topped with ice

THE PATHFINDER COFFEE GRANITA
Recipe developed by Anchored Ship Coffee Bar, the cozy neighborhood café located in Seattle, Washington

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. The Pathfinder Hemp and Root
  • 3 oz. Cold Brew
  • 6 oz. Oat Milk
  • .25 oz. Lavender
  • .25 oz. Honey Simple
  • ~1 oz. Water

Garnish: Lavender sprig
Instructions:

  • Whiz up the liquid ingredients! In a blender or food processor (or cocktail tins) mix up the ingredients. The purée should be about the thickness of a smoothie.
  • Freeze in a flash. Pour the mixture into a shallow pan for freezing (the granita freezes faster in a metal pan, so we recommend a 9×13 cake pan but use what you’ve got). Freeze the granita for 30 to 45 minutes, until it’s just started to freeze on the top and sides of the pan.
  • Fork the granita. Scrape the partially frozen granita with the tines of a fork, breaking up any large chunks. You’ll repeat this step two or three times over the course of freezing.
  • Freeze again before serving. Return the granita pan to the freezer for a total of 4 hours before serving.
