Because not all cocktails are made to face the elements of a coastal retreat, we’ve built an essential arsenal of boozy beach drinks that can be easily assembled on top of a cooler without the inconvenience of getting up from your Tommy Bahama.  

With this assortment of Coopers’ Craft summer cocktails, including Kentucky Water, Coopers’ Cup, and Braves Bramble, there’s a refreshment to match any vacay vibes.

Kentucky Water

The Coopers’ Craft spin on a whiskey soda, contains the perfect blend of bite and refreshing zest to help beachgoers stay both buzzed and hydrated while catching some rays — It’s the perfect beach drink for those who like to keep it simple. 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. Coopers’ Craft Bourbon 
  • .5 oz. Lemon Juice 
  • 1 Topo Chico 

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a highball glass (or Topo Chico bottle)

Coopers’ Cup

The Coopers’ Cup is essentially a simplified mule, but made better with Coopers’ Craft bourbon. The Coopers’ Cup is the ideal boozy refreshment for those who prefer a bit of flavor but don’t want to pack their entire bar cart into their cooler and spend their whole day of fun in the sun making elaborate mix drinks. Serve over ice for a simple cocktail that is sure to impress any beach bum. 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. Coopers’ Craft Bourbon 
  • .75 oz. Lime Juice 
  • Top with 6 oz. ginger beer 

Instructions: Serve over crushed ice in tin cup, garnished with mint sprig.

Braves Bramble

The Braves Bramble is for the cocktail enthusiast who wants to knock it out of the park at their next beach party. This baseball-themed drink is perfect for those who would rather kick their feet up and watch as their friends compete in a heated game of beach whiffle ball.  

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz. Coopers’ Craft Bourbon 
  • .75 oz. Lemon Juice 
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup 
  • .5 oz. Chambord 

Instructions: Put all ingredients minus the Chambord into an ice-filled shaker, shake and strain into an ice (crushed or pellet ice)-filled glass. Drizzle Chambord on top. Garnish with a speared blackberry or lemon wheel and enjoy.
