At The Table, Wayne’s venerable and award-winning fine-dining BYOB, is celebrating Mother’s Day with an elevated three-course prix fixe brunch available from 11am – 3pm on Sunday, May 14. For $85 per person, guests will enjoy an appetizer, entrée and dessert with highlights including New England Lobster Roll Sliders on brioche with tarragon Dijon vinaigrette and Boston bibb lettuce, Foie-ffles (Foie Gras Waffles) comprised of berry gastrique, pan seared Hudson Valley foie gras, Vermont maple syrup, and pistachio praline, and Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting. Additionally, a mid-course plate of Parisian Black Winter Truffle Gnocchi, a decadent composition of black truffle, carrot & sweet onion puree, and shaved Gruyère, will be available for those interested in a taste of At The Table’s current seasonal tasting menu.

Forsythia, Chef Christopher Kearse’s contemporary French restaurant and bar in Old City, is hosting an over-the-top Mother’s Day prix fixe brunch on Sunday, May 14 from 10am – 4pm. Guests to the refined, multicourse affair will enjoy standout dishes such as Green Pea Gazpacho made with Jonah crab, meyer lemon, and puffed quinoa, Tri-Colored Rigatoni ($20 supplement) comprised of morel mushroom, coddled egg, and fava beans, Tuna Niçoise with saffron potato, bagna càuda, and six minute egg, Steak & Eggs ($15 supplement) composed of teres major steak, and Chocolate Olive Oil Cake topped with pistachio, orange curd, and fennel sherbet. 

Forsythia’s Mother’s Day brunch is priced at $80 per person, and reservations can be made via Resy.

Occasionette

Royal Boucherie, Old City’s lively and atmospheric neighborhood restaurant and bar, has the quintessential Parisian all-day brunch planned for moms and loved ones this Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 14) with service from 10am – 6pm. Urban Farmer, Logan Square’s rustic chic modern American steakhouse, is doing the most to celebrate the mother figures in our life with a wide assortment of Mother’s Day brunch and dinner specials courtesy of Executive Chef Sonny Ingui, as well as a featured cocktail. For brunch, guests can choose between a sweet or savory special: Croque Madame ($21) with four cheese béchamel, local ham, brioche, dijon, gruyere, sunny up egg, and a side mixed green salad; and the Stuffed French Toast ($18) with strawberry cream cheese, verjus macerated strawberries, toasted almonds, strawberry chips, and chantilly cream.  

Dinner specials boast an abundance of decadent dishes, including the Mom’s Filet and Crab Duet ($68) featuring a 1855 Ranch 5oz filet, jumbo lump crab cake, citrus aioli, and demi glaze; Double Cut Pork Chop ($38) served with bourbon gastrique and bacon jam; Steelhead Trout ($40) from Loch Etive Farms with verjus brined, purple cauliflower purèe, fiddleheads, kumquat marmalade, and braised endive; and more. To pair with the day’s specials, guests can opt for the Loved by You ($17) mixed with rum, Cocchi Rosa, strawberry mint cordial, and sparkling.

The Twisted Tail, the Southern-inspired restaurant, bar, and live Juke Joint on Headhouse Square known for its extensive array of brown spirits, is inviting guests to treat mom with a three course brunch prix-fixe menu for $45/person, which will be available alongside the usual menu. To start, guests can choose from a wide assortment of appetizers such as Pink Moon Oysters with champagne mignonette; Lioni Burrata with sun-dried tomato, thyme, honey, and grilled bread; Beef Tartare consisting of mustard, cornichons, capers, parmesan, and horseradish; and more. Entree options include well-loved brunch favorites such like Smoked Salmon Benedict topped with a poached egg and mustard hollandaise with fries; Crème Brulee French Toast with fresh berries, maple syrup, and whipped cream; and the Chicken and Waffle served with apple butter and spiced maple syrup. A trio of dessert options complete the experience: Ricotta Beignets, White Chocolate Mousse, and seasonal Macaroons.
