June 29, 2021 – Here’s a toast to freedom this Independence Day.  We’ve listed our favorite restaurants, bars, and shops located in the birthplace of America who are serving up specialty brunch, weekend-filled events, and patriotic cocktails – perfect for celebrating the 4th of July weekend.

Art in The Age, Old City’s one-of-a-kind tasting room, home bar supply, and bottle shop, is hosting Art in The Age All American Weekend in celebration of Independence Day in the birthplace of America. The weekend festivities start on Friday, July 2nd, Liberty Kitchen, the South Kensington & Fishtown’s locally-focused deli & market will be grilling hot dogs for folks to snack on all afternoon long. Then on Saturday, July 3rd, Philadelphia’s own Milk Jawn will be on-site selling their locally-made, uber-popular ice cream – pairing perfectly with Art in the Age’s Black Trumpet Blueberry Cordial.   

Hours of operation: Tuesday through Thursday from 12 – 6pm, Friday and Saturday from 12 – 7pm, and Sunday from 12 – 6pm.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge, Center City’s sexy rooftop experience with panoramic views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, sets a luxury backdrop to celebrate Independence Day considering its close proximity to Philadelphia’s remarkable fireworks display. This year, five pods are available to be reserved from 6 – 11pm on Sunday, July 4. Each pod holds up to 12 people and requires a $2,000 food and beverage minimum to be reserved for the evening.

Devil’s Den, the South Philly gastropub, has one beer-tactic 4th of July celebration planned on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4. Imbibers can enjoy $1 off all Pennsylvania and New Jersey beers on tap. Raise a glass to freedom in the birthplace of America with locally-made brew. For fare, brunch service will be available from 11 – 2pm, following with a robust menu consisting of House-made Burger, Aventinus Mussels, Salmon BLT, and more.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Wednesday 4 – 10 pm, Thursday through Friday 4 – 12 am, Saturday 11 am – 12 am, Sunday 11 am – 10 pm, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 2 pm.
