2019 was a triumphant year for PUNCH Media and our kick a** clients! We landed editorial placements in publications spanning the Philadelphia Inquirer to GQ UK and Men’s Health Australia, we added to our growing team and client list, hosted two in-office happy hours “Kenzinger & Kielbasa,” and executed 30+ client events

2020 is shaping up to be even better and as we round out the decade and look ahead, here is how some of our strategic client partners plan on building their personal and professional success in the new year

Christian Diaz – Lead Bartender, Square 1682

“My New Year’s resolution is to roll out my best menu so far and keep bringing positive vibes. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow in my position, learning and building a team that will be recognized across the city. I’m also looking forward to leading by example and providing building blocks for my team to grow in their profession, as well as people.”

Daniel Tyrrell – General Manager, Square 1682

“My New Year’s resolution is to read more books (and less Instagram). I’m looking forward to reintroducing Square 1682 to Center City and seeing Pearl Jam in Europe — a long time goal of mine!”

Erin Wallace – Owner of Devil’s Den and Co-Chapter Lead of the Philadelphia Pink Boots Society

“I’m looking forward to drinking more beer! My resolution is to find a little more time for myself to travel, learn something new, center myself – I usually get so wrapped up in work I struggle with the work – life balance.

I’m also looking forward to completing my Pink Boots Scholarship by attending the Beer Marketing and Tourism Conference. Also excited about the things we have planned for Pink Boots for 2020 like our Brewing Symposium with Usicences Brewing Program in March and of course the Second Bold Women and Beer Festival.

Personally, I am looking forward to some time to travel. Also looking forward to visiting some of the newer restaurants in the city I have not had the chance to visit yet – like Forsythia. I am also looking forward to a little time to get back to creating some art, possibly talking an art class and getting back in touch with my artistic side.”

Harry Giordano – Director of Development at Variety – The Children’s Charity

“My New Year’s resolution is to meditate for at least a few minutes every day! I want to be more present in daily life and meditation helps me do that. I’m excited for the second year for the Bold Women & Beer Festival! It was so energizing last year to have all those awesome women in one place.

At Love City, we revamped our nonprofit giving program, and I’m very much looking forward to working with Asian Arts Initiative as our first partner in 2020. I’m also trying to make more time for family – I plan to see more of my mom, sister, and adorable niece!”

Nancy Barton – Co-Owner, Philadelphia Brewing Company

“I don’t usually make resolutions because I know I will not stick with it. However, if I was to make one it would probably be “make more time for myself.” I am looking forward to starting a non-profit for my cat rescue. Hopefully it will happen in 2020. I’m also looking forward to getting some projects done around my house. And, I would like to take some time off (ha ha).”

Nathan Ayres – General Manager, Urban Farmer and Assembly Rooftop Lounge

“My New Year’s resolution is to better myself in all aspects of life, and put my happiness first! This will only allow me to better those around me. I am looking forward to innovating my business and challenging my teams to not become stagnate even in success. I want to see us ahead of the curve in not only profit and product, but also in how we connect with our team members and the community.

Most importantly I am looking forward to having fun doing it! I’m also looking forward to challenging myself to not only continue to teach those around me, but to learn more. I would love to take a course or certification in an area that I am not comfortable. Something that could be applicable to my future.

I am also looking forward to seeing the terrible two’s I have heard so much about with my son Greyson!”
