Little Walter’s, Philadelphia’s acclaimed contemporary Polish restaurant and bar from Chef Michael Brenfleck, is celebrating Easter on Sunday, April 5 with two special offerings: a one-day-only return of brunch and a festive Easter takeaway menu.
On Easter Sunday, brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., featuring holiday specials inspired by traditional Polish Easter dishes. Dine-in guests can enjoy:
- Kiełbasy i Wędliny — selection of polish sausage and charcuterie, zupa chrzanowa, beet pickled egg ($27)
- Pierogi Frittata – potato & farmer’s cheese, caramelized onions, sour cream ($18)
- Naleśnik Maślankowy – buttermilk crepes, blueberry rose jam, twaróg, hazelnut crumble ($22)
- Jagnięcina z Rożna – rotisserie lamb shoulder, sweet potato kopytka, scallion & horseradish ($32)
- Babka z Lodami – chocolate babka sundae, Polish water ice, whipped cream, cherry
For those celebrating at home, Little Walter’s is offering a special Easter Takeaway Menu, available for pickup on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. House-made Kiełbasa ($10 per pound) comes in Biała (fresh, non-smoked) or Wędzona (smoked and fully cooked). From the bakery (z piekarni), $15 offerings include:
- Pierogi Bread – potato sourdough, farmer cheese, caramelized onion
- Babka – dark chocolate
- Focaccia Żytni – topped with shallots and dill
- Pączki – blueberry rose jam doughnuts, half dozen
Pantry staples (ze spiżarni, $8 each) include Ogórki Konserwowe (jar of pickles), Pilsudski mustard (24 oz jar), and Smalec, a traditional whipped lard with crunchy pork skin (12 oz). For the holiday table, Little Walter’s is preparing Baranek Wielkanocny ($30), a cultured dill butter lamb molded on a Polish plate. Signature Pierogi ($25 per dozen, frozen and to be boiled) are available in Ruskie (potato and farmer’s cheese), Grzyb (Mycopolitan mushroom, limited), Mostek (smoked brisket, limited), and Kapusta (cabbage and sweet onions, limited).
