Dry January continues to inspire some of the region’s most thoughtful beverage programming, with bars and restaurants across the Philadelphia area elevating zero-proof and low-ABV offerings well beyond simple stand-ins. This year, top destinations including 48 Record Bar, Assembly Rooftop Lounge, Bolo, Flight Club, Front Street Café, Little Walter’s, The Twisted Tail, and Urban Farmer are rolling out inventive spirit-free cocktails and seasonal no-proof selections designed to highlight creativity, flavor, and versatility behind the bar.

48 Record Bar, the stylish listening room and cocktail bar perched above Philadelphia’s legendary Sassafras in historic Old City, boasts an unparalleled selection of zero-proof libations for the winter season that perfectly complements the listening room’s innovative, world class cocktail menu. Subject to rotate bi-annually, the current sippers featured during Dry January include non-alcoholic versions of two fan-favorite cocktails: Moroccan Mint Tea ($10) crafted with mint tea, mint extract, and sugar, and Chocolate Calida ($12) fashioned with pistachio orgeat, dark chocolate, cream, and baking spices, in addition to a Mock Milk Punch ($13) comprised of cherry juice, cacao, spiced syrup, matcha, and coconut milk.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge, Center City’s swanky rooftop destination with panoramic views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, City Hall, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, offers a curated selection of zero-proof cocktails. Seasonal highlights include the Blackberry Ginger Smash ($12) with blackberry, raspberry, cardamom, and Fever-Tree Ginger Beer; the Cucumber ‘Gin’ Spritz ($14) featuring Ritual NA Gin, cucumber, lemon, and club soda; and the Phony Negroni ($12) made with St. Agrestis Phony Negroni.

Bolo, Philadelphia’s vibrant Latin American dining room and rum bar from two-time James Beard Award semifinalist Chef Yun Fuentes, is celebrating Dry January with a lineup of non-alcoholic cocktails that capture the restaurant’s tropical, flavor-forward style. Guests can enjoy options such as the Virgin Colada ($12) with pineapple juice and coconut cream; the No Jito ($12), a refreshing blend of lime, mint, guarapo, and soda; the Hibiscus Lemonade ($12) featuring ginger, lemon, hibiscus, and club soda; and the Pica Piña ($12), a zesty mix of lime, pineapple pique, and a tajín rim.

Flight Club, the world’s first Social Darts® experience in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, is offering a range of non-alcoholic options for Dry January that pair perfectly with its lively, game-driven atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the Midway Splash ($14), made with Seedlip Grove 42, pineapple, lemon, and tonic, as well as a selection of Lyre’s zero-proof classics ($13) including a Gin & Tonic, Amalfi Spritz, and Classico. The menu also features a variety of non-alcoholic beers such as Sam Adams Just the Haze ($7), Athletic Brewing Co.’s Cerveza Atlética ($7), Lagunitas IPNA ($7), Sierra Nevada Hop Splash ($7), and Guinness 0 ($8), offering plenty of ways to raise a glass—no alcohol required.

Front Street Café, the all-day café, restaurant, and bar known for its commitment to fresh, farm-to-table ingredients, promises a bevy of standout zero-proof tipples to enjoy well beyond Dry January. Highlights include the Zero Proof Louie mixing honey, lime, and Ritual Zero Proof Gin; the Zero Proof Refresher with Ritual Gin, house made ginger syrup, cranberry juice, ginger ale, and strawberries; the Zero Proof Buffalo mixed with Ritual Whiskey, pomegranate syrup, and Seedlip Spice 94; and the Zero Proof Mocha Espresso Martini with Ritual Tequila, espresso, house made chocolate sauce and peppermint syrup.

Little Walter’s, Philadelphia’s new contemporary Polish restaurant and bar from Chef/Owner Michael Brenfleck, highlights a thoughtful lineup of zero-proof cocktails — listed on the menu as “bezalkoholowe,” the Polish word for “non-alcoholic.” Sober-curious guests and anyone seeking a bright, refreshing sipper this January can explore options, all priced at $7, including the Feniks, crafted with seasonal Baba’s Kombucha; the Mleczarz, made with whey, apple shrub, and dill; the Zielarz, a soothing blend of rosemary honey, herbal tea, and bitters; and the Sadownik, a sparkling mix of tart cherry spritz, orange, and cardamom.

Urban Farmer, the modern American steakhouse at The Logan Hotel, known for its locally sourced ingredients and in-house butcher shop, features a zero-proof cocktail menu ideal for Dry January or those moderating alcohol consumption. Offerings include the Fauxpresso Negroni ($12) made with Phony Espresso Negroni, cold brew, and orange; the Crimson Fizz ($10) with cranberry, cranberry shrub, and Fever-Tree Ginger Beer; and the Cadillac Shirley Temple ($12) composed of house made grenadine, verjus, lemon-lime soda, and cherry.
