This Saturday marks the official start of Pride Month! Many of Philadelphia’s top restaurants, bars, and establishments are celebrating in a variety of ways – from Bingo Drag Brunches and festive Pride Markets, to beverages that give back, plus tons of colorful sips and bites – there’s plenty of ways for Philadelphians to recognize, benefit, and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Notable participants include Cake Life Bake Shop,Hyatt Centric Center City, Patchwork,MilkBoy, and Oloroso. 

What better way to celebrate Pride Month than with colorful treats from Cake Life Bake Shop, Philadelphia’s trans-owned award-winning artisanal bakery? For all of June’s festivities, from Philadelphia Pride March, to binge-watching classic LGBTQIA+ movies, to post-drag show snacking, the Fishtown bakery will be serving up Pride Sugar Cookies ($4.50), Fiesta Cupcakes ($5), Rainbow Funfetti Cake (price and size varies),and more. Customers looking to give some extra love this June can also shop Cake Life’s highly giftable retail section with merch including Pride Stickers, sweet ‘n’ spicy greeting cards, and funny mugs.

PLUS, this menu marks the bakery’s first foray into nationwide shipping, perfect for sending shelf-stable items to long-distance friends or partners, including Pride Sugar Cookies, Pride Shortbread Sleeves, Rainbow Marshmallow Sleeves, Rainbow Lollipops, and assorted Pride stickers.

The Fishtown bakery’s Pride menu is available for pick-up and delivery – customers can pre-order online now. Orders must be completed by 2pm four days prior to the desired pick-up or delivery date.

Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia, the upscale lifestyle hotel nestled in bustling Rittenhouse Square, is celebrating Pride with its third annual Pride Market and Bingo Brunch featuring Adele Computer on Saturday, June 22 from 11am to 5pm. 

Locals and visitors can head up to the second floor of the Hyatt Centric and peruse through the Pride Market highlighting several vendors from the Philadelphia region, including Hylyte SkateboardsInner Light AuraF+ V Design StudioTriton Soap New + Wesley Images, and more. In conjunction with the market, Patchwork, a lively restaurant and bar focused on New American cuisine, will be hosting a Bingo Brunch featuring drag queen Adele Computer. Offering two shows, 12pm and 2pm, attendees can play the first round of bingo for free and any additional cards are $1. Players can win an array of prizes from an overnight stay at Hyatt Centric, a gift card to Patchwork, Adele Computer merch, and other pride themed prizes. 

In addition, Patchwork will be featuring a Pride Cocktail, the Pearls of Paradise composed of Tito’s Vodka, lychee juice and purée, Pamplemousse, St. Germain and lemon. A portion of proceeds from each Pearls of Paradise sold will be donated to William Way Center.

Join the celebration at MilkBoy, the landmark locale of the iconic Philadelphia-born brand located in Center City, as Pride Month kicks off with the MilkBoy Pride Party, at the Chestnut Street locationfrom 1 to 5 pm on Sunday, June 2. Hosted by Drag Queens Jenny HennyandYari, attendees can anticipate an exhilarating atmosphere with DJ Mike Schaffer spinning disco hits and iconic LGBT anthems all day long. The entire day is sponsored by Absolut vodka, featuring specialty drinks and shots throughout, along with giveaways and themed rainbow freebies. There is no cover to attend the MilkBoy Pride Party; however, cash tips for the queens are encouraged.

This Pride Month, Oloroso, Philadelphia’s premier Spanish tapas restaurant and sherry bar located in the heart of Midtown Village, Center City, plans to give back to the LGBT+ community by donating profits from an exclusive, one-night-only tasting menu available on Wednesday, June 12 from 4 pm to 9 pm to William Way LGBT Community Center. 

The menu features a multi-course tasting experience with seasonal offerings spanning tapas, raciones, desserts, and more, priced at $75 per person (tax & gratuity not included). Additionally, Oloroso will feature a cocktail for the month of June called The Jolly Green, made with gin, Midori, lime, yuzu, and egg white. A portion of proceeds from this cocktail throughout the month, as well as from the June 12th dinner, will benefit the William Way LGBT Community Center, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.

Reservations for Oloroso’s tasting menu dinner are highly encouraged and can be made via Resy.
