The Eagles Churros ($7) at El Merkury, the Central American eatery best known for its traditional street food and stunning churros, are sweet sensations fitted in the team’s iconic Kelly-green colorway and are available for pick-up at both Reading Terminal Market and El Merkury’s Rittenhouse-area Flagship location on Chestnut Street. For foodies who have never tried El Merkury’s homemade churros, all expectations of the typical stick-shaped dessert can be wiped away: The Central American eatery creates churros that are a sight to behold — looping around in a foot-high circle and stuffed down into soft serve, the cinnamon-sugar, crunchy treats are pieces of art. Plus, for sauce fanatics, the churros come with a side of caramel and chocolate for dipping.
Eagles Churros are available all day Monday through Saturday at El Merkury Chestnut Street, and exclusively on Sundays between 10 am – 6 pm at Reading Terminal Market.
