November 12, 2022 — For those who can’t get out of the office before 6 pm, happy hours are like mythical creatures – often written about and advertised, yet hardly ever witnessed in real life. In celebration of the upcoming National Happy Hour Day, Saturday, November 12, we’ve put together a selection of our favorite locales offering happy hour specials on weekends, including The Twisted Tail, Oloroso, The Dutch, and Jet Wine Bar.

Oloroso, Philadelphia’s premier Spanish tapas restaurant in the heart of Center City, is celebrating the weekend with its newly launched happy hour service, now available Wednesday through Sunday from 4:30 – 6:30pm in the lower dining room, at the bar, and at outdoor tables. The happy hour selection includes a complimentary tapas of the day with purchase of first cocktail, wine, or beer — a nod to traditional Spanish culture where in certain cities in Spain, one would receive a small plate accompanied by their beverage of choice. Libations featured during happy hour are subject to rotate frequently and currently consist of Xixarito Sherry and Micaela Sherry ($6), La Hora de Vermouth ($6), Cigar City Jai Alai IPA ($3), La Nevera (white/red/rosé) ($8), and House Rojo Sangria ($8), composed of pomegranate, brandy, and orange.

Executive Chef Jason Peabody has curated an ever-evolving collection seasonal tapas priced at just $7 during happy hour, with offerings including tapas favorite like Patatas Bravas, Shishito Peppers, and Ham & Cheese Croquetas.
