July 12, 2021- It’s hard to be salty when National French Fry Day is coming up on Tuesday, July 13. Check below for a guide to some of our go-to French fry favorites in the City of Brotherly Love to celebrate the occasion.

Devil’s Den, the South Philly spot for pub fare and an extensive beer selection, offers a variety of French fry sides ideal for fry lovers to indulge in. On Tuesday, July 13, folks may take advantage of their one-day-only special of Duck Fries prepared with a mellow duck confit and glazed with a signature IPA cheese sauce, paired with a SweetWater Brewing Co. beer, for just $15.   

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Wednesday 4 – 10 pm, Thursday through Friday 4 – 12 am, Saturday 11 am – 12 am, Sunday 11 am – 10 pm, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 2 pm.

The Marino Brothers Cheesesteak at The Bourse Food Hall, Old City’s modern artisanal food hall, offers mouthwatering Bacon Cheese Fries ($5) topped with gooey cheese and crispy bacon.  

Foodies may pair this fan-favorite cheesy side with a cheesesteak of choice from the menu.  

Hours of operation for The Bourse Food Hall are Monday through Thursday 7 am – 8 pm, Friday through Saturday 7 am – 10 pm, and Sunday 9 am – 6 pm.

MilkBoy South Street, part of the iconic Philadelphia-born MilkBoy brand known for booze, bites, and great music, boasts a savory selection of fries, including the Green Bean Fries ($6), dipped and combined with BBQ dry rub and signature chili mayo, The Loaded Fries ($9), topped with fresh Monterey jack cheese, crispy bacon, sour cream, and garnished with chives, and the Buffalo Fries ($10), piled and plated pulled buffalo chicken, celery, and creamy blue cheese.  

Hours of operation at MilkBoy’s South Street location are Wednesday through Thursday from 4 – 10 pm and Friday through Sunday from 11am – 10 pm.

Square 1682, the modern American kitchen located at the intersection of 17th and Sansom streets, is the perfect place for foodies to enjoy an elevated take on the classic French fry with its Truffle Fries ($12), prepared with truffle oil, herbs and parmesan, and the renowned Waffle Fries ($10) made with malt vinegar powder, and served with chipotle ranch. 

Dinner service hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 5 – 10 pm. Brunch service hours are Saturday through Sunday 9 am – 2 pm.
