10 April 2018– Henry A. Davidsen: Master Tailors & Image Consultants, Philadelphia’s leader in custom tailored clothing, is challenging Philadelphians to donate 5,000 suit items by May 7th in support of its third annual Suit Drive to benefit Career Wardrobe. Several Philadelphia-area businesses, including Zarwin Buam Devito Kaplan Schaer Toddy P.C. and American Executive Centers, are coming together to support the Suit Drive as collection centers. A complete list of participating businesses can be found here.
President and Founder of Henry A. Davidsen, Brian Lipstein is raising the bar from last year’s goal of 1,000 suit items and challenging Philadelphians to donate gently-used suits, ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts, and shoes in support of local unemployed men. All professional attire collected during the month-long initiative will go directly to Career Wardrobe, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit providing a professional wardrobe to unemployed, low-income men – from laid-off workers to recovering substance abusers to veterans.
“The Suit Drive gives men looking to re-enter the workforce a chance at a new beginning,” said Lipstein. “Through this campaign, we have an opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives and communities.”
The Suit Drive will culminate in Suits & Sazeracs, a spirited cocktail competition presented by Henry A. Davidsen, Bluebird Distilling and Square 1682 at the Hotel Palomar on the last day of the drive, Monday, May 7.
To help spread the word about the Suit Drive, Henry A. Davidsen is encouraging people to share the #HDSuitDrive hashtag on their social media when they donate. To learn more about Henry A. Davidsen and the Suit Drive, click here.
