28 December 2016 – Out with 2016 and in with 2017! Ring in a new year with amazing parties and can’t miss specials at some of Philadelphia’s hottest spots this New Year’s Eve.

  • Bluebird Distilling – Phoenixville’s premier craft distillery, is hosting a boozy New Year’s Eve Party in collaboration with Stable 12 Brewing Co. With the purchase of a $10 wristband, guests will receive $7 cocktails all night at Bluebird and one complimentary beer at Stable 12. Bluebird is open 2:00 – 11:00 pm on New Year’s Eve, with wristband sales starting at 6:00; Stable 12 will be accepting wristbands anytime after 6:00. Continue the party on New Year’s Day with the Bluebird crew. Doors will be open from 1-6pm.
  • Devil’s Den – For those who appreciate an expertly curated craft beer list and like to keep things à la carte— Devil’s Den is offering party favors, a roaring, wood-burning fireplace, and complimentary craft beer or sparkling wine toast at midnight.
  • Jet Wine Bar – Graduate Hospital’s “global vineyard,” is saying cheers to the new year with specialty sparkling wine cocktails and flights all night. Guests can also enjoy 3 Tamales for $8 served three different ways – cuarismeno (peppers & cheese), pork & chicken.
  • Ocean Prime – Ocean Prime offers one of the city’s most gorgeous rooms to ring in 2017 where guests enjoy decadent Smoking Shellfish Towers and a holiday-perfect luxury Ruinart Champagne offering at $40 per glass or $160 per bottle — just in exclusively for the holidays. Additional celebratory fare comes in the way of an effervescent specialty cocktail, Spanish Bubbles, made with St. Germain, Campo Cava Brut, Lemon Twistand luxe special New Year’s Eve dishes, such as Dorade and Caviar with Chanterelle mushrooms, smash fingerling potatoes, haricots vert, pickled capers and shallots, Champagne vinaigrette; and Red Wine Braised Short Rib and Alaskan King Crab Oscar, asparagus and cabernet jus. Guests can wrap their New Year’s feast with a specialty dessert of Warm Butter Cake topped with fresh berries, vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce.
  • Red Owl Tavern – Chef Caitlin Mateo will offer a menu of holiday specials and enhancements at Red Owl Tavern on Independence Mall including Miso Glazed Salmon Belly, Serrano Wrapped Lobster Tail, & Lancaster Duck Breast, among the mix. Champagne toast at midnight. Plus celebratory drink specials from Lead Bartender Kyle Darrow.
  • Rex 1516 – Graduate Hospital’s Southern-influenced eatery, will ring in the new year with an elegant three-course à la carte dinner menu including Cauliflower & Parsley Root Soup, Whole Pan-Roasted Quail, Smoked Pork Cheeks, & Stayman Apple Crisp, among the mix. Guests can also enjoy five festive specialty cocktails including Hat Trick served with Madeira, aperol, rhubarb bitters, and sparkling wine, as well as Bella Donna served with allspice dram, cognac, sparkling wine and tiki bitters, among the mix.
  • SkyGarten – Countdown in the Sky! Guests celebrating New Year’s Eve 51 floors in the sky at the world’s most celestial beer garden will enjoy panoramic views of fireworks along the Delaware River and simulcast of all festivities on the room’s big screen TVs. A spirited DJ will lead the countdown to 2017. $51 cover includes party favors, binoculars, charcuterie, a lavish dessert spread and one spiked hot chocolate, plus complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Full SkyGarten menu available at 10pm includes 676 Burger {$12}, Potato Pancakes {$6} and more. Doors open at 8pm. Limited availability. Advance ticket purchase suggested. Celebrating with kids? Families, young and those wishing to catch the early fireworks should hit up SkyGarten’s Kiddie Countdown for $20.17; includes virgin hot chocolate and binoculars for all.
  • Square 1682 – Rittenhouse Square’s modern American bar and restaurant, will ring in the new year with DJ spinning after 10 pm, complimentary Champagne at midnight following a festive prix fixe dinner menu ($65) from Chef Bobby Surdam including Bass Crudo, Sweet Potato Bisque, Pickled Shrimp, Boneless Stuffed Quail, and Lamb Rack, among the mix. The prix fixe menu will also include extra holiday upgrades such as Foie Gras French Toast. Limited à la carte menu available at the bar. Then on New Year’s Day guests are invited to come as they are for Square 1682’s annual Walk of Shame Brunch— served all day with specials on raw juice dirty detox cocktails.
  • The Twisted Tail – The Twisted Tail on Headhouse Square is hosting a bawdy Burlesque and Blues New Year’s Eve Party with live music form the Mikey Junior Band starting at 9pm and burlesque performances throughout the evening. An $85 four-course prix fixe dinner includes admission to the show and a Champagne toast at midnight. Revelers wishing to skip dinner and jump right into the party may do so by purchasing tickets on Eventbrite from general admission at $20, which gets you in the door, to $125 which guarantees a table with the total $125 redeemable in food and beverage. An earlier three-course dinner will also be served.
