Where to Celebrate National Waffle Day

August 24, 2021  There’s no better way to start the day than with warm silky syrup drizzled over perfectly prepared golden waffles. In honor of National Waffle Day on Tuesday, August 24, we’ve rounded up a bevy of ridiculously delicious variations of the classic breakfast dish – ideal for foodies to indulge in while celebrating the special occasion.

Grubhouse at The Bourse Food Hall, Old City’s modern artisanal food hall, offers an extensive line-up of savory breakfast and brunch items including the noted Chicken and Waffles prepared with a choice of traditional or red-hot Nashville hot chicken, assembled on a homemade waffle, and topped with country gravy and bourbon maple syrup.  

Another fan-favorite is the classic Waffle decorated with either fresh blueberries or bananas, and coated with powder sugar. Waffle lovers can add sweet toppings such as Oreos, salted caramel, or chocolate chips for an additional $2.  

Guests may indulge in these dishes inside the food hall or al fresco on the fifth street patio overlooking historic Independence Mall. 

Hours of operation for Grubhouse are Wednesday through Friday 8 am – 1 pm and Saturday through Sunday 8 am – 1 pm.
