April 27, 2021 – From stoop hangs to weekends down the shore – summer sipping is right around the corner. Ring in the start of better weather (and better times) with these tasty tipples from our friends at Coopers’ CraftArt in the Age, and Tamworth  Distilling, as well as a brand-new line of ready-to-drink canned cocktails from American Liquor Company (ALCO), courtesy of New Liberty Distillery.

Cooper’s Craft Smoked Pineapple Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

  • 5 oz Coopers’ Craft Barrel Reserve
  • 2 Barspoons Pineapple Simple Syrup
  • 2 dash tiki bitters

Instructions: Light a bit of dehydrated pineapple on fire, cover with rocks glass to extinguish and capture smoke. Stir cocktail with ice, strain into glass, garnish and serve immediately.

Garnish: Dehydrated Pineapple Slice/Cocktail Umbrella

Glassware: Rocks

Pineapple Simple:

  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 3/4  Cup Pineapple

Instructions: Heat and whisk until combined, low boil for 2 mins. Take off heat and allow the mixture to come to room temp

Art in the Age Mountain Berry Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz Art in the Age Mountain Berry Cordial
  • 1 oz Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka
  • ½ oz Som Cranberry Cordial
  • ½ oz Blood Orange Juice
  • ½ oz Aquafaba
  • 1 Dropper Full Bitterman’s Spiced Cranberry
  • 1 ½ oz Avec Hibiscus – Pomegranate Seltzer

Garnish: Dried hibiscus & raspberry.
Instructions: Add all ingredients except seltzer to shaker tin. Dry shake (aka without ice) and pour into snifter over ice sphere. Top with chilled seltzer.

Preparation Procedures: Aquafaba is the liquid from a can of chickpeas, commonly used as an eggwhite replacement to create foamy cocktails. Just drain the liquid from the chickpeas and it’s ready to use.

Tamworth Distilling Thai Chili Gin Fresh Cut 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 oz Tamworth Distilling Thai Chili Gin
  • 1/2 oz Kinsey Triple Sec
  • 3/4 oz El Guapo Lime Cordial
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 4 dashes Fee Bros jasmine water
  • 2 dashes Fee Bros rhubarb bitters

Garnish: Tarragon sprig

Instructions:  Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, then add ice. Shake for 15 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube.
