December 17, 2020 – Celebrate the end of 2020 and ring in the new year with much-needed festive cocktails made easily at home. Below are three cocktails – recipes included – that are sure to impress your small, intimate gathering, and will be the perfect libation as a final farewell to 2020.

Coopers’ Craft Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Brown-Forman’s newest bourbon in twenty years, and Art in the Age, Philadelphia’s one-of-a-kind tasting room, home bar supply and bottle shop, know the best way to close out 2020 is with a cocktail in hand.
 

From a Southern twist on the classic French 75 to a large-batched sage cocktail, the following recipes are fit for the amateur mixologist and will be a hit amongst your quaranteam 

  • Kentucky 75 — A Southern twist on the classic French 75, this sparkling sipper is the perfect cocktail to toast the final hours of 2020.  
  • Midnight Reverie — Effervescent and festive, this tipple boasting Art in the Age Black Trumpet Blueberry Cordial is sure to start 2021 on a sweet note.  
  • Sage Advice — Good vibes only with this bourbon highball boasting a homemade ginger lime sage simple syrup, carbonated apple cider and smoking sage leaf….because 2020.

Kentucky 75

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz Coopers’ Craft Bourbon 
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup 
  • .75 oz Lemon Juice 
  • Champagne 

Glassware: Flute 

Garnish: Lemon Twist 

Instructions: Add Coopers’ Craft, simple syrup and lemon juice into ice-filled shaker; shake and strain into flute glass; top with Champagne; garnish with lemon twist.

Midnight Reverie

Ingredients:  

  • .5 oz Art in the Age Black Trumpet Blueberry Cordial 
  • .5 oz lemon juice 
  • .5 oz chilled ginger lemon syrup 
  • Topped with Cava
     

Glassware: Collins 

Garnish: Thyme and blueberries  

Instructions: Put a few blueberries in the bottom of the Collins class. Fill the glass the rest of the way with pebble ice. Add all ingredients except Cava together with ice, and strain the liquid into the glass. Top with Cava, then garnish.

Sage Advice

Ingredients: 

  • 6 oz. Coopers’ Craft Bourbon 
  • 3 oz. Ginger-Lime-Sage Simple Syrup ** 

Glassware: Highball 

Garnish: Smoking Sage Leaf 

Instructions: Shake with ice, strain, garnish and serve over ice. Top with apple cider  

**Ginger-Lime-Sage Simple Syrup 

Combine 8 oz sugar, 6 oz lime juice and 2 oz ginger juice with 4-5 sage leaves. Heat skillet and stir until dissolved, about 2 mins. Cook an additional 2 mins while stirring, then remove from heat. Allow to cool and enjoy.
