November 26, 2019 –  The Shops at Liberty Place, Center City’s premier indoor shopping destination, is spreading holiday cheer during Sips & Selfies with Santa, featuring free photos with Santa, a charitable selfie contest, and a pop-up Bourbon Lounge by Bluebird Distilling, Saturdays in December from noon to 6 pm.

Throughout the month of December, The Shops at Liberty Place will be partnering with Cradles to Crayons for Selfie for a Cause. Guests are invited to snap a photo with Santa, any of the holiday characters, or the stunning 45-foot tall Christmas tree in the Rotunda and post to Instagram with the hashtag #DecktheShops. All participants will be entered into a contest to win a mystery holiday gift box sponsored by Bloomingdale’s The Outlet.

At the end of the month, The Shops at Liberty Place will donate $1 for each selfie posted and tagged, up to $1,000 to Cradles to Crayons. Selfie for a Cause kicks-off on November 26 and runs through midnight on December 22. A winner will be chosen at random on Monday, December 23. For all Selfie for a Cause details and rules, visit The Shops at Liberty Place on Instagram.

Stationed at the foot of the Christmas tree, Santa will sit on his throne each Saturday, inviting guests and their little ones to tell him their Christmas wishes. Guests are invited to bring their own cameras to take a merry and memorable photo with good old Saint Nick, free of charge.

Each Saturday in December, guests can expect to see different pairs of holiday characters spreading good cheer alongside Santa. On the first Saturday of Sips & Selfies with Santa, December 7, the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who will be joining the fun, followed by Buddy the Elf and Mrs. Claus on December 14, and Frozen’s Elsa and Olaf on the final Saturday, December 21.

While they shop, guests can also enjoy music from roaming Victorian carolers who will be performing around the shopping center throughout the afternoon. A face painter will decorate cheeks with candy canes and jingle bells from noon to 4 pm each weekend as well.

After snapping festive photos with Santa, the adults can head over to the Bourbon Lounge presented by Bluebird Distilling, adjacent to the Rotunda, to enjoy $10 spirited libations such as a Peppermint Mojito with Sugarcane Rum, a spiced Cranberry Mule with Bluebird Vodka, the Winter Sweater Old Fashioned with Four Grain Bourbon, and Hot Mulled Cider with American Wheat Whiskey.

Inside the Bourbon Lounge, guests will be greeted with holiday cheers. This inviting nook offers guests a respite from the bustling holiday traffic, allowing them to unwind and relax while sipping festive cocktails.

In addition to cocktails, guests can also enjoy Philadelphia Brewing Company pints ($5) of Winter Wünderand Kenzinger on tap and non-alcoholic options such as hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and coffee.

“We are excited to partner with The Shops at Liberty Place for this fun holiday experience.” said Bluebird Distilling owner, Jared Adkins. “The holidays are one of my favorite times of year because they bring together friends and family to create lasting memories, like photos with Santa!”
