September 12, 2019 – Guac lovers and adventurous eaters are invited to hop over to Café Ynez, the all-day Mexico City-inspired BYOB diner, on Monday, September 16 to celebrate National Guacamole Day with a bowl of Chapulines Guacamole. Yes, chapulines, as in grasshoppers in Spanish.
Available all day, guests can dig into a delicious bowl of habanero and mango guacamole garnished with crispy chapulines for $12. A common snack in many parts of Mexico, chapulines are toasted grasshoppers, often seasoned with garlic, lime juice, and salt.
For those not interested in a grasshopper topping, guests can enjoy traditional Guacamole and Chips for $10, available every day of the week.
