September 4, 2019 – Khyber Pass Pub in Old City kicks off its new music venue, Upstairs At Khyber, on September 6 from 5-8pm, with a photographic encore of the musicians who once shook their stage. “From The Vault: Photos by Paul Havelin,” resurrects grunge and early punk rock with flashing moments that capture a time when Khyber’s walls vibrated with amplifiers and excitement, making it Philly’s most rockin’ music scene of the ‘90s and 2000’s.

Photographer and former bartender, Paul Havelin, snatched epic breaths of past artists who took Khyber’s stage including Iggy Pop, My Morning Jacket, Thor, Electric Eel Shock, and more. The photo exhibit will feature music by DJ Sideswipe and with blessings from the musicians who broke the foundation. Shake off your nostalgia at the after show with Goddamn Gallows.

As the essential spot for live music, good beer, and hazy memories, Khyber was home base, the go-to for live music, with star-studded monthly line ups and up and coming musicians featured since the ‘80s. Upstairs at Khyber is reigniting that reputation with a tough September line up including Boogaloo, Inside Voices, Zillas on Acid, and more. Boasting 22 ever changing craft beers on tap and Southern BBQ soul food, live music lovers, IPA-heads, and foodies alike can all call Upstairs at Khyber, “home”.
